Is it legal?
Someone answer this if you can.
Here is the senario. I mistakenly mailed a check which was made out to ABC Company to Comcast. Comcast, rather than sending the check back, endorsed and cashed it.
I called the Comcast billing department and got a person who had no clue. She sent me to another department, which never answered and and was automaticly transfered to the automatic voice commands to press 1 for this, 2 for that,3 for something else. I think I went through every button on my phone and after a half hour playing phone tag, I got tired and hung up. It is interesting that a communication company has such a poor communication system.
My question is this: is it legal for Comacast to cash a check that is not made out to them and what are the consequences?
